Aloo- Gosht (Meat with potatoes)

Few days ago I visited  my native place Saithal , Where my  Aunty (Neema chachi ) fed  us delicious lunch . One dish I liked most that was Aloo - Gosht.  With out any delay I  asked her recipe of Aloo- Gosht for you . Hope you would like it.
Here is the recipe.......

Here are the ingredients ........


  •    Cooking  oil / mustard  oil - 2 table spoon 
  •    Meat(well washed)         -   250 g.m 
  •    Onion  slices-                   -  5-6
  •    Garlic paste -                 1/4  tea spoon
  •    Ginger paste -                1/4 tea spoon
  •    Onion  paste -                2 table  spoon
  •    Tomato (ripe)- 1            Medium  size (chopped)
  •    Turmeric  powder-         1/4 tea spoon
  •    Red chili powder-           1/4 tea spoon
  •    Coriander powder-         1/2 tea spoon
  •    Salt-                              1/4  tea spoon-
  •    Green coriander leaves(chopped) 1 table spoon.
How to cook -

Fry few slices of onion in hot oil , when it turn little brown add meat pieces and  fry it till its water dries up, mix Ginger -Garlic Paste  and stir it well , add Onion paste ,Turmeric ,Red chili Coriander Powder and Salt. Mix it all well  with  2 cup of water. Close the lid of pressure cooker and bring it to  4-5 whistle on the low flame then turn off the heat.

When the lid open , please check if the meat has cooked well if  it is done ... parch it well . When oil started coming on the gravy  add potato pieces in the gravy  and  close the lid again. Bring it to one whistle on the low flame then turn off the heat. let the lid open itself , please check if the potato pieces  have turn soft  or  not . If  it  is well cooked ,Parch it  well again, adjust the salt and mix  2 cup of water to  make gravy thin. boil it again on the low flame  and turn off the heat .
Garnish it  with chopped coriander leaves .





Enjoy Aloo - Gosht  with plain Roti  and  Rice Its awesome
