Yesterday my sister Hina cooked delicious  Dum -Aloo  which we enjoyed with  Arhar daal   and Rice .When ever she cook this dish she remembers our Domestic Cook Laloo , who taught her to cook this delicious recipe.I asked  her this recipe for you . Hope you will like it.

Ingredients

  • Baby potatoes (Aloo)- 250 g.m
  •  Tomatoes (Tamatar)- 2 medium size
  •  Red chili powder (Laal Mirch)- 1/2  tea spoon
  •  Turmaric (haldi)  powder- 1 tea  spoon
  •  Salt ( namak) -1/2 tea spoon
  •  Onion(Pyaaz)  paste - 4 table  spoon
  •  Coriander (dhania) powder - 1 tea spoon
  •  Garam Masala - 1/4 tea spoon
  •  Curd (fresh and not sour)- 1 bowl ( medium Size)


How  to  do -

Peel off  baby potatoes and pierce  slightly with a fork . Heat the  cooking oil  in the pan and fry  these  baby potatoes  till it turn golden  brown.(If you are taking  big potatoes ,pierce slightly and  cut into small pieces ). keep these fried  potatoes on the tissue paper as it will soak extra oil.


Heat the cooking oil  in the  pan or khadhai, Add red chopped Tomatoes and cook  it  till it turn soft. Mix Onion(pyaaz) paste,Turmeric (haldi) ,Coriander(Dania), Red Chili (laal Mirch)Powder, Salt and Garam Masala with 1/2 cup of water  and cook it on the low  flame. When oil started coming on the edges of the pan, mix fried potatoes with 1 cup of water. Cook it well ,adjust the salt according to your taste. When gravy turn thick  and oil started coming  on edges  then mix  one  bowl of fresh curd and cook  it again  for 2 minutes .


Dum Aloo
Garnish it with green fresh  leaves of coriander .Enjoy delicious  Dum Aloo.
