Besan Roti - Pyaaz ki chutney (Chick pea flour bread and onion- tamarind) sauce)

Besan ki Roti aur Pyaaz ki chutney

From couple of days I was craving to have  my favourite dish Chick pea flour bread  and onion- tamarind sauce(Besan ki roti aur Pyaaz ki chutney). yesterday I had it in my dinner.It was so delicious . 

Generally we cook  it on the 10th of Moharram to break our all day long fast, Which we keep in the memory of Hazrat Imam Hussain who martyrdom on this day.
I want you to taste this awesome dish . For this dish  you will be needing...


Ingredients For Besan Roti
  • Gram flour(Besan)-5 table spoon
  • Wheat flour (Atta)-2 table spoon
  • Salt-1/4 tea spoon or as per your taste
  • Refined oil / Pure Ghee- 1- tea  spoon (optional)
  • Pure ghee to apply on Roti.

Method

Mix well gram flour,wheat flour,salt , refine oil all together and make dough with water. Make medium size balls of besan dough and  roll  it in the size of  roti. Put roti on the  heated tawa and bake it  from  both side till it turn little pink. Apply pure ghee on the roti.

Serve hot Besan ki roti  with pyaaz ki  chutney.(Last but not the least , do not  forget  to apply pure ghee on  Besani roti ,  other wise you will miss its  real taste .

Ingredients for Chutney

  • Tamarind(Imli)/mango powder-2 tea spoon
  •  Coriander leaves/ mint-5-6 leaves
  •  Cumin seeds -1/2 tea spoon
  •  Red chili powder-1/2 tea spoon
  •  Salt- 1/2 tea spoon
  • Imli aur pyaaz ki chutney

  •  Onion  sliced-2 medium size
Method 
To make sauce or chutney  you need  to  grind  Imli pulp ,mint or coriander leaves, cumin seeds, salt and red chili powder all together in thick consistency .
Now what you need to do  is mix sliced  onion  with  imli chutney well. Adjust the  salt again. your tangy  mouth watering pyaaz ki chutney is ready.
